Yoga poses for Spring 2016-By Concord Yoga instructor Noemi Tuba

Twisting poses has many-many great benefits. They help with detoxification and they also powerful ab-toners (Quite handy after winter, right?) Most twisting poses are also helping to get better balance.

Trikonasana is an essential yoga pose of any yoga practice. So how about twisting it? Revolved Triangle Pose or Parivrtta Trikonasana is a counter pose of Trikonasana.  It has multitude of benefits: it stretches the entire legs, hips and spine. It opens the chest, therefore encouraging better breathing. It also stimulates the abdominal organs which increases the detoxification process and helping with balance. 

Twisting poses are beneficial all year round, however they are simply essential during spring.
